Man arrested after woman dies in A325 accident

Police investigating an accident on the A325 in which a woman pedestrian died have arrested a man.

The 54 year old, from Liss, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving, driving a vehicle that failed to stop after a road accident and driving a vehicle involved in a road accident and failing to report that accident.

He has been bailed until May 5th.

The crash happened in Alice Holt Forest, close to the junction with Binstead Road, at 5.25pm on February 1st, and involved a car and a motorbike.

The 43-year-old woman who died was a pedestrian, police said. She was pronounced dead on the way to hospital.
